Shanel Fields is the founder and CEO of MD Ally Technologies – a 911 telehealth company that connects Public Safety to the broader healthcare ecosystem. As the daughter of a volunteer EMT, she launched MD Ally with the desire to expand access to care for vulnerable populations experiencing higher rates of dead-on-arrivals due to longer ambulance wait times. Shanel leads MD Ally’s efforts to expand the scope of Public Safety services by integrating a new virtual response tier with access to virtual medical, mental, substance abuse, and community paramedicine resources.
As a thought-leader, Shanel also serves on Techstars Global’s Board of Directors - a $52B market cap venture firm and has raised millions in funding to drive innovation in Public Safety. Her work has been prominently featured on the front page of The New York Times Business, Good Morning America and Comcast/NBC’s docuseries on innovative founders. Through her work with The Pioneer Council, she uses her platform to champion collaborative innovators in government tech that are introducing new ways to optimize government infrastructure and access to resources.
